Upcoming Appearance and LT3 Anniversary Sale

Upcoming Appearance and LT3 Anniversary Sale

Here are two cool things happening now or soon that might be of interest:

First, if you haven’t heard, I’ll be in Stayton, OR (the small, mid-valley agricultural town where I went to high school) for the Stayton Public Library Local Author Fair on May 5th. The fair goes from 11:00 AM – 3:30 PM when regional authors will be selling books, and I’ll be doing a reading at 1:00 PM, so if you’re taking an afternoon in the Willamette Valley countryside (or if you’re one of the few people who live in that area), you can stop by to see me. All of the details are on my Upcoming Events page.

My second bit of reiterated news is that Less Than Three Press (the publisher of my novellas, For All the Gold in the Vault and A Study of Fiber and Demons) is having a sale to celebrate their 9th anniversary throughout the month of April. They’re celebrating with a discount on all titles, plus daily $0.99 deals, and a raffle. If you want to grab my novellas or other excellent queer romances from them, the sale lasts until the end of the month, and you can check their Twitter to see which books are $0.99 each day.

A quick link before I get into my ECCC details:

Now, for more about my Emerald City Comic Con plans. As I’ve mentioned before, I’ll only be there for Friday, March 2nd, but I’ll be around the Angry Robot booth for most of the midday (particularly, 12:00 – 6:00 PM), so hopefully I shouldn’t be too elusive for anyone hoping to see me. I also have a book signing at the AR booth scheduled for 2:00 – 3:00 PM, so if you pick up Moonshine on Thursday or Friday morning, that’s a great time to bring it by.

Angry Robot will be located in booth #1816 on the main show floor (a stone’s throw from the big Dark Horse booth), so if you’ll be attending ECCC, please stop by and pick up some excellent books.

UPDATE: Signing good to go with obvious caveats

UPDATE: Signing good to go with obvious caveats

I was made aware late last night about this notice sent out by the UW President yesterday. The site of the planned far-right rally is only a few blocks from the University Book Store, and obviously I have multiple concerns about both the University’s warning and their handling of the whole situation. I am trying this morning to reach out to the University Book Store for more information and will update as soon as I know more about how this could affect the event. Of course, regardless of any potential changes to the event, please avoid the University of Washington campus today if you feel unsafe.

Again, I will update once I’m able to contact the Book Store staff and obtain more information about the situation.

UPDATE (11:13 AM): I spoke to the Book Store staff and they were able to clarify the security situation. They advised that the store should be far enough away from campus and late enough in the day that it should not be impacted by the planned rally. They also have security staff present who are aware of the security threat on campus. Everything is still in order to proceed with the signing, and they didn’t appear to anticipate any problems at the store.

That said, again, please avoid the University of Washington campus area today if you feel unsafe. On that note, if I arrive and find that the area appears unsafe, I will be in touch with the Book Store again and cancel tonight’s event.

For those still interested, the signing begins at 6:00 PM tonight at:

U District – University Book Store

Here Comes Another Moonshine Round-up!

Here Comes Another Moonshine Round-up!

Sorry for the low fanfare here for yesterday’s UK release of Moonshine. I did not have the time I thought I had to pull together something a little flashier. I have something more extensive planned for the US release on Tuesday, provided I don’t spend the whole weekend playing Dissidia. (I will, but I can also get a slightly longer post thrown together, regardless.) Until then, wow, more stuff:

Whew, what a week! I also wanted to remind you all that I have a content warning list for Moonshine here on my site, if there’s any type of content you’d like a head’s up about before reading the book. The list is incomplete, of course, but I tried to note the stuff that particularly stood out.

Okay, I think that’s all I’ve got for this very moment! Now I’m off to catch up on some very important work (which is playing more Dissidia).

Some updates for this fine, rainy day (at least where I’m at). We’re getting oh-so close the release of Moonshine on February 1 (ebook and UK paperback) and February 6 (US paperback), and I’ve got some fun happenings happening in light of that:

And more along the way! In the meantime, have another shameless pre-order plug:
